Thanks to our extensive international network, Pure Water Group has commenced constructing a total of Nineteen Electro Deionisation (EDI) systems for different projects around the globe.

A particular highlight are two custom engineered EDI systems with a capacity of 12,5 m3/h each for a high spec project in Australia. Woodside Karantha Gas PP, operated by Woodside Energy Ltd is part of a life extension program on an existing site. It necessitates replacement of an existing Demineralized Water Plant that uses large volumes of hazardous, corrosive chemicals. During an Enhanced Concept Definition Study, EDI technology was recommended as the preferred solution. Although the CEDI skids are a proprietary item, manufactured to various European standards, they also comply to Australian standards.

Another four EDI systems are destined for the construction of two single 127 MW combined cycle power plants in Luján and four simple cycle plants of 254 MW in Matheu, both in Argentina. The sites are owned by Duro Felguera, SA, which has formed a consortium with Siemens Energy Inc. and Siemens, SA (Argentina).

Simultaneously, one EDI system with a capacity of 100 m3/h, accompanied by membrane degassing for CO2 removal, needs to be assembled for a customer in Portugal.

In another project a total of seven skids are to be manufactured for new combined cycle power plants in Iran, coordinated by Mapna. Three skids are already shipped and four are scheduled for July.

Last month Pure Water Group received an order from one of our Austrian partners for the delivery of two EDI systems with a capacity of 20 m3/h each for a client in Estonia, to be delivered end of August. A month later, two high capacity EDI systems for the production of 61,5 m3/h product water each are required.

In the meantime, two smaller units need to be urgently assembled and tested, ready for delivery before the end of July, one for a customer in England and one in Spain. A third unit has to be built in a time span of barely eight weeks to ensure just-in-time delivery to a site in Australia.

To pull together nineteen Electro Deionisation systems is a huge undertaking for our production team and requires an effective manufacturing schedule, along with supply chain efficiency to gather the materials and components on time. At Pure Water Group we are proud of the strong relationship with our partners and suppliers, which we believe is the key to success in these endeavors.
