Pure Water Group again successful in Egypt
Another contract to deliver high capacity Continuous Electro Deionization Systems and Membrane Degassing Units for supercritical power projects in Egypt has been awarded to Pure Water Group. This latest success rewards the company’s proven commitment to high quality equipment and service provision in meeting customer expectations and standards.
Pure Water Group wins several major global contracts
Thanks to our extensive international network, Pure Water Group has commenced constructing a total of Nineteen Electro Deionisation (EDI) systems for different projects around the globe.
A particular highlight are two custom engineered EDI systems with a capacity of 12,5 m3/h each for a high spec project in Australia. Woodside Karantha Gas PP, operated by Woodside Energy Ltd is part of a life extension program on an existing site.
Pure Water Group manufactured some dozens of EDI equipment this spring
Thanks to its global network, Pure Water Group has commenced constructing some two dozen Electro Deionization (EDI) systems for projects in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and South America.
Qassim Power Plant conversion project
Installation of Pure Water Group continuous electro-deionization (CEDI) units is in progress as part of the Qassim Power Plant conversion project, on the Arabian Peninsula. The Saudi Arabian Electrical Company (SEC) project will convert two generating sites from simple cycle to combined cycle operation.
Two large transports loaded at Pure Water Group
End of February a fully containerized EDI system with a capacity of 100 m3/h was hoisted on a truck for transport to Rotterdam and afterwards shipped to a petrochemical refinery in South Africa.
CEDI equipment and GTMDO units for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
In early 2016 Pure Water Group will deliver CEDI equipment and GTMDO units for two separate SEC (Saudi Arabian Electrical Company) power plants projects to produce high purity water for super critical boiler systems.
Of particular interest in these projects is the supply of Gas Transfer Membrane DeOxygenation (GTMDO) units installed downstream of the CEDI system. These remove dissolved oxygen from the pure water stream and protect the boiler from corrosion. To achieve the low O2 requirement of < 100 ppb the units are operating in N2-vacuum mode.
Containerized CEDI system for Sasol in South Africa
Pure Water Group has been awarded a contract to build a containerized CEDI system with a capacity of 100 m3/h for a customer in South Africa (Sasol).
As the CEDI system needs to be installed during the planned shutdown in March 2016, it will be supplied as a completed module. Pure Water Group was requested by one of our partners in South Africa to integrate the complete CEDI system into a modified 20 -foot container together with booster pump and pre-filter skid. This will enable rapid delivery and smooth installation on site in combination with easy transport.
High capacity CEDI systems for two Fast Track power projects in Egypt
Working to an extremely tight schedule, Pure Water Group has supplied high capacity Continuous Electro Deionization systems for two major power plant projects in Egypt.
The power plants at Assiut (central Egypt) and Damietta, in the north, are engaged in an emergency construction plan to overcome summertime power shortages. CEDI systems are required with a capacity of 4x 100 m3/h (Assiut) and 3x 75 m3/h (Damietta).
Third Electro Deionization system for power station in Dohuk, Iraq
Pure Water Group received another order for the delivery of an advanced Electro Deionization (EDI) system for the combined cycle power plant Dohuk in Kurdistan, northern Iraq. The 60 m3/h EDI system is a third line extension of earlier supplied equipment. The EDI systems are part of a water treatment project executed by the Austria company GWT Gesellschaft für Wasser- und Wärmetechnik GmbH, Leobersdorf and contains various integrated features to comply with the hot and dusty local environment.
